Tommy Berry and James McDonald made a mockery of racings whip rules when both admitted there was no excuse for their breaches aboard the first two placegetters in the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) on Saturday.
Both Berry, the rider of the winner Mo’unga and runner-up McDonald, who was aboard Sky Lab, were hauled in for significant breaches of the rule.
