Scans reveal more bad news for Magpie Elliott – The Age
Jamie Elliott’s manager has confirmed a serious injury for the Magpies’ small forward who was hurt in an otherwise impressive win over Carlton.
Trey Ruscoe was used as the Magpies medical substitute when Elliott was taken off for assessment. Ruscoe booted a goal with his first kick.
The win eased the pressure on the Magpies after an opening-round loss to the Western Bulldogs but the Blues are now 0-2 for the ninth-straight season.
The Blues allowed 16 goals from just 48 inside-50 entries and face a crunch clash against Fremantle next Sunday at Marvel Stadium where victory is a must if they are serious about ending a seven-year finals drought.
