Nearing the end? The hits and misses of Gillon McLachlan’s reign – The Age
The CEO has assured AFL chairman Richard Goyder that he will at least see out this season, but there are clear signs that his time is coming to a close.

McLachlan has predicted that the timing of the AFLs next broadcast agreement starting in 2025 will sit in harmony with advances in streaming and new media platforms but the likelihood of chairman Goyder convincing his CEO to stick around for yet another crucial negotiation is low.
