Saturday’s case surge included almost a dozen more healthcare workers.
The number of Victorian healthcare workers who have tested positive for COVID-19 has now passed 400.
The state recorded 217 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hour reporting period and two further deaths.
Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton said the declining figure was a relief but warned it included 11 further healthcare workers – taking the total to 405.
