‘My sexual identity is owned by me, not a brand … isn’t it time for this double entendre to end?’
A member of the LGBTQIA+ community is demanding iconic Australian ice cream, Golden Gaytime, be renamed due to concerns it is outdated.
The man, only identified as Brian Mc, launched the petition earlier this month calling for the term gay to be removed from the title.
It has since collected more than 900 signatures of support.
As a part of the LGBTQIA+ community I believe my sexual identity is owned by me, not a brand and that the outdated meaning no longer applies. Isnt it time for this double…
