Bundaberg scone queen Dorothy Collishaw turns 100

Laughing, keeping busy and baking scones are the secret to a long and happy life according the Bundaberg “Scone Queen” Dorothy Collishaw who turns 100 today.
It will be a week of birthday celebrations for Mrs Collishaw as her fellow Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA) threw a surprise party for her the day before she hit the milestone.
The Bundaberg Mayor Jack Dempsey serenaded Mrs Collishaw with an impromptu Irish birthday song and ABC Wide Bay conducted an hour long outside broadcast radio program dedicated to the “Festival of Dorothy.”
Feeling very overjoyed, with a beaming smile, Mrs Collishaw said she felt extremely lucky and very spoilt to have friends from the QCWA surrounding her the day before her…
