Virgin Australia drops free meals, snacks and drinks in economy class – Executive Traveller
An “exciting and fresh” buy on board menu launches this Thursday.

Virgin Australia will no longer serve free meals, snacks or even soft drinks in economy class as of this coming Thursday, March 25, as the airline switches to a fully buy on board menu.
Ironically, the move comes on the same day as Virgin debuts its new fully-inclusive business class menu.
While coffee, tea and water will remain free for all economy class passengers, anything more will be available for purchase from what the airline has previously described as an “exciting and fresh” inflight menu.
