Student bed sectors’ plea for plan after Brisbane boom

Beds and services for 10,000 students emerged across the inner city with 29 applications green-lit with the discounts.
Now, most operators are scrambling to find a solution or clarity after pouring more than $1.5 billion into the construction projects.
“If you won’t let us use this building for what you approved it for … can we at least use it for other purposes, so we don’t have to sack workers?” Mr Carracher said.
