Actor Firass Dirani has angered fans for suggesting women should be dressing conservatively.
Dirani, 36, shared a black-and-white photo of his mother and aunt in their youth, noting how “natural” they looked.
“Mama @ 15 in the white. And my auntie Zeinab. This is when women wore clothes, and women’s eyebrows had hair. #Natural,” he captioned an Instagram image on March 22.
Dirani’s followers swiftly criticised Dirani for implying all women should be covering up and wearing more clothing.
