Drought-hit areas of Queensland welcome rain despite widespread flooding disaster
A drought-stricken Queensland town can begin discussions to stop trucking in water after being “blessed” with heavy rain.
Stanthorpe has been receiving between 40 and 50 truckloads of water per day since late 2019 as one of the state’s most hardest hit locations by the drought of recent years.
In March, the town has so far received more than 160mm of rain, including more than 90mm on Tuesday.
