Thirty-five years on, the Sharron Phillips mystery may soon be solved

The investigation started badly. Mr Phillips moved his daughter’s car from Ipswich Road the morning after she disappeared and returned it to their Riverview home.

When it was returned to Ipswich Road in an effort to obtain information from the public, it was in the wrong location.

Soldiers from the nearby barracks repeatedly helped police scour bushland in different locations, and before long, Ms Phillips’ face was on large billboards across Ipswich and Brisbane.
