Children with poorly controlled type 1 diabetes have a 10 times higher risk of complications and death related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, compared to those with well-controlled diabetes.
The latest findings were reported in a study presented virtually at ENDO 2021, the Endocrine Society’s annual meeting.
