A positive coronavirus case has resulted in demands for some inmates to be let out immediately.
Coronavirus has entered Melbournes prison system after an inmate on remand tested positive for COVID-19.
The Metropolitan Remand Centre prisoner returned a positive test on Friday morning, Corrections Victoria says.

He was a new inmate to the centre and was swabbed upon arrival.
He will now undergo a 14-day protective quarantine period and be separated from the rest of the prison.
