Security expert says changed world awaits post-pandemic travellers

Having secured a seat on an outbound flight, the traveller planned to travel through Paris and on to Cairo, but the situation changed during the flight.
“While they were on the flight, the rules changed in Paris, and if they’d gotten off the aircraft, they would have been detained for weeks in quarantine,” he said.
World Travel Protection opened its new Brisbane command centre just as the pandemic took hold last year.
“But we were able to get in contact with that person during their trip and make sure they didn’t leave the gate, and we organised for them to make their connecting flight.”
