Could it be the similarities in climate? Three Tasmanians are off to play English county cricket, swapping the Tasmanian winter for the delights of UK summer.
Tasmania has as many players featuring in county cricket as any other state, with the trio of Peter Siddle, Jackson Bird and Ben McDermott all signing deals.
