Hannah Fidell has been living with the thorny subject matter of A Teacher for a long time. Her low-budget film about a sexual relationship between a high school teacher (Lindsay Burdge) and a male student (Will Brittain) was shot in 2012, debuted at Sundance in 2013, and was set to be adapted for HBO in 2014 (it never happened). Now, finally, we have this 10-part series adapted from the film of the same name, developed for FX and Hulu.
