Queensland’s COVID app accessed a million times in a fortnight

The Queensland government’s official COVID-19 check-in app has been accessed* more than 1 million times in the two weeks since it was officially rolled out.
That is despite the app not being mandatory, although the government has been pushing it as a good alternative to entering a person’s details multiple times across multiple different data systems.

Minister for Digital Economy Leeanne Enoch said more than 7600 businesses had taken up the app, with Queenslanders using it to check in to places like pubs, cafes and shops over a million times in just over two weeks.
