ASX trading flat as Australia awaits unemployment data – ABC News

Promising jobs figures released on Thursday failed to drag the Australian share market into the green.
The ASX 200 closed 0.7 per cent down.
The benchmark also closed down (-0.5pc) on Wednesday.
The latest ABS jobs figures showed Australia’s unemployment rate fell to 5.8 per cent in February, down from 6.3 per cent.
That was far beyond CBA analyst predictions this morning that the unemployment rate would just fall marginally to 6.2 per cent.
