Maintenance to cut AGL power capacity amid price threat – The Australian Financial Review
The company is ramping up capacity at its Bayswater plant in readiness for the closure of the Liddell power station from 2022.

AGLs maintenance work at Bayswater has been long planned to take place during the months when electricity demand is typically softer. The work will improve flexibility in the way AGL can operate the generator, to suit a more volatile market when renewable energy can swamp the system during daytime hours, allowing it to power down more easily.
