Taskforce Starlight established to investigate stock theft in the NT

A police taskforce has been established to investigate livestock theft in the Northern Territory.

The NT Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA) has been calling for the re-installation of a full-time stock squad for many years and estimates that cattle stations across the NT are losing around 10 animals a week to either theft or illegal slaughter.
