‘Toxic smoke’ blankets suburbs as suspicious fire burns in Park Ridge, Logan in Queensland

Residents in the Queensland city of Logan are being warned to “stay indoors” as a major fire sends toxic smoke over the area.
The suspicious fire broke out at an industrial site in Park Ridge about 11.30pm on Thursday night.

Thousands of tyres are believed to be burning, and 44-gallon drums containing oil and grease are also alight.
About 60 firefighters have been battling the huge blaze for several hours.
