The bubble the NRL is living in is starting to show how thin it is – Sydney Morning Herald
The NRL is having itself a “good lockdown”. It’s certainly “good” when compared to our other football codes. But there’s really no such thing.
However, as time goes by, we’re discovering something different. Truth is, the only one having a good lockdown is your family pet. Everyone’s home, the heater’s on, and there’s no reason to be outside.
For everyone else, there’s no good lockdown. There’s the superficially good lockdown, where everyone celebrates having dodged the bullet and places their chips on a V-shaped recovery, but beneath the surface they are going a little bit loco. Their crisis hasn’t been averted, just delayed.
