‘Sad news …a very kind soul’
The NBA community is rallying behind former star centre Shawn Bradley, who has been left paralysed after he suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury, according to a statement released on his behalf by the Dallas Mavericks.
In January this year the former big man was hit by a car from behind while riding his bicycle not far from his home in Utah.
He underwent neck fusion surgery and has spent the past eight weeks in hospital and is undergoing rehabilitation.
