A new ALDI checkout sign has sparked strong debate among shoppers.
The notice appears in all ALDI stores and discourages customers from packing their groceries into shopping bags in the checkout area.
Shoppers are now being asked to load their items in and out of a trolley at the cashier, and then move to the packing bench.
While this has long been an option for all shoppers at ALDI stores, it is now being encouraged as a social distancing measure.
