The AFL’s manager of clubs and broadcasting Travis Auld says fans have to sit in their designated seat for contact tracing purposes, but can stand to barrack.

Footy fans will be allowed to stand and cheer for their teams at round one AFL matches at Marvel Stadium this weekend, despite reports to the contrary.
AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan said on Wednesday that fans were allowed to stand up and support their team at games over the weekend, and at all venues.
