Gold Coast police stations remain open despite threats made by a Gold Coast man, believed to be armed with a firearm, who triggered a school lockdown on Tuesday.

It followed a domestic violence incident on Monday night at a Gannon Way home in Upper Coomera.
Mr Lutgenau fled the scene before responding police officers could catch up with him.
