LG Rolls Out New Firmware To Address VRR Raised Black Problem On 2020 OLED TVs – Forbes
New feature will also be available on 2021 OLED TVs from launch
As if getting their 2021 range of TVs ready for launch wasnt keeping them busy enough, LGs TV engineers have also been working on ways of tackling the issue of raised near blacks on their 2019 and 2020 OLED TVs when gaming in variable refresh rates.
That effort has today resulted in the announcement of a firmware update for LGs 2020 OLED models thats claimed to improve the raised black issue using a new Fine Tune Dark Areas adjustment.
