The new checks are set to be rolled out in the US this year, as a bid to enhance safety features on the app.
The parent group of Tinder, Match Group, have partnered with non for profit Garbo that will make their background check technology accessible to app users.
Garbo was founded by females and its the first-of-its-kind, non-profit background check platform.
