Woman charged with interfering with corpse south of Toowoomba

A woman has been charged with interfering with a corpse in Queensland despite the man’s death being ruled as non-suspicious.

The man’s body was found in bushland at Preston, south of Toowoomba, on January 7 by two tourists.

The man was identified as a 28-year-old Toowoomba local.

Police allege his body was moved from a private residence in Toowoomba to bushland between January 5 and the early hours of January 6.

A 36-year-old Glenvale woman, who knew the man, has been denied police bail and remains in custody to appear before the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

She was charged with one count of interfering with a corpse and 13 counts of supplying a dangerous drug.
