Zipping ahead: Council puts the pedal down on new e-mobility strategy

The COVID-19 pandemic has done little to curb Brisbane’s e-mobility craze, with the use of e-scooters as popular as ever and the city council on track to introduced an e-bike hire scheme by mid-year.
E-scooter use in Brisbane has returned to pre-pandemic levels.
The rapid take-up of the city’s e-scooter share scheme since it was introduced in 2018 has emboldened the council to offer residents and visitors dockless e-bikes as part of a formal e-mobility strategy.
