Gold Coast school locked down amid fears of armed man on loose

A Gold Coast school has been locked down amid a search for a “missing person” who may be armed with a gun.

Queensland police have told 7NEWS.com.au an emergency declaration has been made in the vicinity of Ormeau State School in Pimpama.

There is a significant police presence outside the school on Tuesday morning, with heavily armed officers also in the area.

The matter relates to a domestic violence incident on Monday night, police say.
