Victoria looms as hub if borders close, concussion sub could be ‘injury sub’: AFL chief
AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan says Victoria is a strong option to be used as a hub if there are border closures, while coaches have discussed whether the role of the incoming concussion sub could be expanded.
All eyes are on COVID case numbers, most recently relating to hotel quarantine in Sydney and Brisbane, which could see states like Western Australia shut their borders and cause chaos with the AFL and AFLW fixtures.
