Thousands in Brisbane join March 4 Justice
“This is a wider, broader and systemic issue,” she said.
After a minute’s silence for women who had lost their lives to violence, the crowd chanted and danced to the English version of Un Violador en Tu Camino, “a rapist in your path”.
“The patriarchy is a judge that imprisons us at birth and our punishment is the violence that you don’t see,” they chanted, while performing moves as directed.
The crowd grew louder, chanting “and it’s not my fault, not where I was, not how I dressed”.
“And the rapist was you,” they yelled and pointed towards the event’s videographer.
