Morgan sensationally walked out on the morning television show amid a war of words with a fellow presenter about Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
A source from the shows broadcaster ITV told The Sun that Morgan resigned because channel executives wanted him to apologise live on air.
He was asked to make an apology but refused. He says he is entitled to his opinion and is always going to stand by it, they said.
