New UQ head looking to future after weathering pandemic storm
Professor Terry said her focus has been on creating the strategic plan for the university for the next five years, which would involve public consultation, to be finalised later this year.
This was part, she said, of the university’s responsibility to be an active part of the community, as well as providing a pipeline for research translation to industry.
“Universities must do three things — educate the graduates who shape our future, engage in research and innovation, and enrich the communities in which we are embedded,” she said.
“UQ does all three of those things, and they are the focus of our strategic plan going forward.”
