Rundown Melbourne house in Armadale sells for $5.8 million after underquoting complaint – The Australian Financial Review
The son of a former consumer watchdog was the agent on a dilapidated Melbourne house that sold for $1.7 million over the advertised price range.
Everyone knew it was going to be a runaway result, said buyers agent David Morrell, who laid a complaint of underquoting against Mr Samuel with Consumer Affairs Victoria over the property. Its on one of the best blocks in Armadale.
Mr Samuel, who denied underquoting, said the Edwardian home that was on the market for the first time since 1908 was not priced low and that the Munro Street sale was not a good comparison as half of it was subject to heritage constraints.
