A health alert has been issued for more than 60 Queensland suburbs after coronavirus fragments were detected in two wastewater plants.
The Bundaberg and Gibson Island plants are linked to 62 residential areas.
Officials have been unable to determine whether the fragments contain an overseas COVID variant or if they are from historical cases.
There are concerns a further 50 suburbs could be at risk after fragments were also detected at the Cairns North Marlin Coast, Fairfield and Mackay South plants…
