Queensland records one new coronavirus case day after doctor tests positive
Another person has tested positive for coronavirus in Brisbane.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said on Sunday morning they had detected one more positive case in Brisbane.
It comes after a doctor from Princess Alexandra Hospital tested positive on Friday, after treating patients with COVID-19.
The doctor’s positive result ended the state’s 59-day COVID-free streak and plunged hospitals, aged care facilities and disability centres into a three-day lockdown.
