Bushfire emergency warning issued for outer Geraldton suburb of Wandina
An emergency bushfire warning has been issued for residents in the western part of Wandina, on the outskirts of Geraldton in WA’s Mid West region.
The alert covers an area bounded by Brand Highway, Ackland Road, Verita Road and Columbus Boulevard.
People in the area are in danger and must act immediately to survive.
The fire started near the intersection of Verita Road and Columbus Boulevard, in Wandina, just before 11:30am.
