Leading hope removed from All-Star Mile field on raceday morning
The All-Star Mile has lost its longtime favourite just hours before the $5 million race after Racing Victoria stewards withdrew Arcadia Queen on Saturday morning due to lameness.
Arcadia Queen was the only scratching from the All-Star Mile with the Cox Plate winner Sir Dragonet to take his place in the hope the predicted rain hits The Valley.
Last week’s beaten Australian Cup favourite Fifty Stars takes Arcadia Queen’s place in the 15-horse field.
