Perth radio veteran Fred Botica has fought back tears as he announced he will end a 50-year career on the airwaves.

Perth radio veteran Fred Botica has fought back tears as he announced he will end a 50-year career on the airwaves.
The 96FM breakfast host has revealed he will be replaced by former Mix 94.5 favourite, Dean Clairsy Clairs, who will join co-host Lisa Shaw.
Boticas Bunch will be rebranded simply as The Bunch.
Im turning 74 in about a week and after 50 years in radio Ive decided to retire and do some of the other things Ive wanted to do for a while, Botica said.
