Tao Geoghegan Hart (Ineos Grenadiers) abandoned Paris-Nice on Wednesday after crashing on stage 4.
The reigning Giro d’Italia champion crashed on a curve during the descent off of Mont Brouilly. He remounted to resume the descent, but stopped after a few kilometers and pulled out of the race.
He will now head to hospital for further assessment,” the Ineos Grenadiers said in a tweet. “Medical update to follow later.
