Final messages before Queensland father stabbed himself in front of police
In the days leading up to a Queensland father fatally stabbing himself in front of police officers, he sent his ex-partner expletive-riddled messages before going to her street, where he later died.
The messages contained language such as: “You are what they call toast”, “Have a hard think about what you’ve done slut”, “I don’t give a f— anymore”, “All the talking is done from here c—”.
The inquest into the death of Ashley Thomas Horne, 49, cleared responding police officers of any wrongdoing, after state coroner Terry Ryan handed down his findings on Tuesday.
Mr Horne suffered from anxiety and depression and left behind an eight-year-old son. He had no notable criminal history and he was not known to police before…
