Penney ‘a long way’ from being axed despite Waratahs’ woes, says NSW Rugby chairman – Sydney Morning Herald
Roger Davis has revealed what was discussed at a Waratahs high performance panel meeting on Tuesday evening, including the side’s many weaknesses.
Davis said the high performance panel examined the main reasons why the Waratahs had started 2021 slowly but agreed results needed to change soon.
We cant have any more losses if were going to have a successful season. There are too few matches, Davis said.
The situation were in has many factors. Weve lost a lot of key talent, weve got a young side, we havent executed well, we have weaknesses in key aspects of play. Our scrum is not good. Defence as you saw against the Brumbies, there were problems.
