Woman fighting for life after vehicle falls 10m off bridge

A woman is fighting for life after she was freed from her vehicle that fell about 10 metres off a bridge on the Fraser Coast region.
Emergency services were called to a vehicle and truck crash on Eaton Street and Maryborough Biggenden Road at Brooweena just after 2.20pm on Wednesday.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said four crews were tasked to the scene, with the first crew arriving at 3pm.
“The patient was entrapped in the vehicle that was on its roof,” he said.
“There was a dry creek bed where the vehicle landed approximately 10 metres below the bridge.
“The person was released at 3.45pm.”
A rescue helicopter has been tasked. Police are on scene and urged drivers to avoid the area.
More to come.
