Queensland wants to host this year’s Brownlow Medal night
IT STARTED with the Grand Final, now Queensland wants to take the Brownlow Medal off Victoria.
Just a day after pitching to host the 2020 decider to AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan, Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has started the push for the AFL’s night of nights.
It would be just the second Brownlow Medal count held out of Victoria in its 97-year history and first since Sydney hosted the event in 1999.
