A senior Northern Territory police officer will try to get a domestic violence application made against him thrown out, a Darwin court has heard.

Darwin Superintendent Daniel Shean, 47, appeared in Darwin Local Court today on the domestic violence list.
His lawyer, Luke Officer, told the court he would be attempting to get the domestic violence application dismissed, arguing it was an abuse of process and there were no reasonable grounds for it.
