Murder accused faces court after woman’s body was discovered in a shallow grave in Flinders Ranges

A man who is accused of killing a 21-year-old woman — whose body was found in a shallow grave in South Australia’s Flinders Ranges on Monday — will remain in police custody until at least December.

The 20-year-old Kurralta Park man did not apply for bail when he appeared at the Port Augusta Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Police prosecutors requested a nine-month adjournment to prepare for the trial.

The accused’s identity has been supressed by the court, but police say he had been in a relationship with the victim.
