Plan announced to keep people in Melbourne CBD after COVID-19 drop off
Victorian’s Property Council is calling on businesses to let their workers knock off at 4pm on Friday to help reinvigorate Melbourne’s CBD.
Under the plan, public transport would also be made free on Fridays to encourage people to return to work in the city.
The plan comes after Melbourne’s foot-traffic declined significantly because of COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions.
The Council’s Danni Hunter says creative ideas are needed to get people and their money flowing again.
