Council approves Boggo Road Gaol plans as opponents vow court fight
Brisbane City Council has approved a controversial development slated for the site of the notorious Boggo Road Gaol precinct, set to be appealed by community opponents in court.
Developer Stockwell first lodged the plans in 2019, proposing a mixed-use office, healthcare and community space, after working with the government to revamp the state-owned land following the scrapping of an earlier proposal.

After numerous requests for more detail, time or changes from both levels of government in relation to the project, revised in December, council planners signed off on the plans on Friday.
